This pleated blush colored cold shoulder top is to die for! It's so chic and classy. The color blush is definitely up there beside all my other favorite shades of pink. At first, I was skeptical about purchasing this top because I thought it would be too see through, but it's not. 

This evening I am headed to a dinner downtown, and afterwards I believe we are going to Blue Boulevard Jazz to listen to jazz music. I haven't sat and listened to jazz since my dad used to play it in the car.

 My absolute favorite time of the year is finally upon us and I couldn't be anymore excited! I usually run to Starbuck's to get my Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but I recently was told that McDonald's will have a Pumpkin Spice Latte as well. If McDonald's latte is just as good as Starbuck's, I'll more than likely go the cheaper route! ;)

This blouse is definitely petite girl friendly. It hits right below my hips and the split sleeves are actually long enough to not look like a "petite" blouse. This blouse gives off an almost 70s vibe with the illusion of wearing a cape. I ordered the size small. I think any smaller it would be too tight in the bust area. If I went with a larger size, the blouse would still flow nicely.

This evening I am headed to a dinner downtown and a to see When the Bough Breaks. It looks pretty predictable, but I've been told it's pretty good so we'll see. And besides, Morris Chestnut is in the movie...so..no more questions to ask! :)

This outfit is so simple yet oh so chic! I saw this ballet pink peplum top and knew I had to have it. It reminds me of my ballet days; the color, material, and loose fit. To keep my outfit casual, I paired it with my medium wash YMI jeans and my brown mules.

After such a long day of work and running errands, I am headed to dinner on Augusta. I'm not sure which restaurant we are going to, but as long as there's pasta or pizza tonight I'll be happy! :)

Fall's Cabernet with Lace and Paisley

These past weeks have been so busy for me. I've been writing papers after papers for my graduate courses, I've been working full time, and I had four teeth extractions to correct my bite while I wear my braces. I decided it was time to reward myself for staying so disciplined and motivated by purchasing some new pumps for this fall.

I went with these Vince Camuto suede pumps in the color cabernet. There were three colors to choose from, but my eyes were sold on the cabernet color. I went with my usual size 7 and they fit true to size for me.

This is a big splurge for shoes, but over the years I've realized that the shoes I've paid more for and had better quality have last for a long time. I still own a pair of Nine West black pumps that I purchased back when I was 16 years old. They still look great after all these years.

This evening, I am headed to downtown Greenville to meet up with a friend for pizza and live music. Hopefully, it's not too humid and we are able to enjoy ourselves outside!

Labor Day Fun!

I hope everyone is or has already enjoyed their labor day weekend. Mines was pretty good, minus the teeth extractions I had to get for my braces (that's for another post). I ended up going shopping for home decor. It wasn't the most exciting, but I was in need of some serious organization. I also finally went to see Southside With You at Hollywood20. I went with my mama and my sister-in-Christ Whitney. It was such a cute movie of how young (President) Barack Obama pursued Michelle (Robertson) Obama. It was so sweet seeing a young man go after what he wanted without backing down!

I overall had a great mini-vacation staying right here in town. Also, tomorrow will be the day after labor day. If you are tempted in any way to wear white after labor day, by all mean wear white after labor day. It looks good. You'll feel good. After labor day doesn't mean all of a sudden you need to pull out your sweaters! It's still in the high 80 and 90s here!lol.

Tassels for Days: Steven by Steve Madden Tassel Purse

This has to be the most adorable tassel clutch/ handbag I've ever seen. I purchased mines about two months ago at Belk in Greenville, SC's Haywood Mall. They also had tote bags and wallets with the same tassel designs. 

Here is a closer picture of the clutch. You can see that the clutch is canvas, and has beads and tassels are hand sew throughout the bag.

I decided to rock my Urban Decay Matte Menace Matte Revolution lipstick. It stays on all day and its great for WOC. It's not too bright or dull. I believe they are marked way down at Sephora and Nordstrom Rack.

To compliment the bag, I paired these beautiful fushia tassel earrings that I purchased from Etsy. I washed my hair with Mizani Thermasmooth products, and then set my hair with flexi-rods over night. I simply ran my fingers through my curls and pulled my hair to the side to get this look.

Even though this bag needs nothing to make it stand out, I still decided to rock this mint blue cold-shoulder romper from Dress Up. A boutique located in downtown Greenville, SC. I paired my JustFab nude fringe sandals to tone down my total look.

I feel this romper is somewhat modest because it's very loose fitting and it's not too short (on my 5'3 frame). It's a nice breezy outfit to rock these last few days of summer. Whether with family or friends, to a cookout or football game, this would be the perfect outfit.
