Suede on Suede With Plaid

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I've been through so much these past few days. I had an unsuccessful day yesterday, but through the grace of God things will work out for the better. Graduates school, working full-time, and other necessaries is so draining, but it could always be worse. A life not following my dreams would feel unprosperous at this point in my life.

Now on to a more serious note, isn't this the cutest outfit!:) To let my scarf really pop and stand out, I decided to go with neutral colors for my shoes, bag, jeans, and top. The pink tartan plaid scarf was given to me for my birthday a few weeks ago from my best friend Precious. It's not the overly, bulky," I-just-pulled-my-blanket-off-the-bed-and-tied-it-around-my-neck" looking scarf. It's more of a "I'-need-something-cute-to-liven-up-my-basic-jeans-and-tee" kind of scarf"!:)

My Carina over the knee taupe suede boots and my Anja' suede cross-body bag are from Goodnight Macaroon's 2016 Fall collection (birthday gifts). I've had my eyes on these boots and bag since the day Goodnight Macaroon came out with them. The boots are narrow calf friendly, but I do think they'll do just fine for regular calves. I ordered the size 37, but they were a little snug so I had to wear thick socks in them around the house before going out in them. I usually wear a 6.5US or 7US for reference.

The Anja' bag looks like a Chole' Faye dupe. It's small, but big enough to hold your phone, small wallet, make up compact, lippies, and keys. In the picture it looks like a lavender color, but when it arrived it was more of a two-tones gray. I didn't mind because it goes great with the Carina suede boots.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding this post or just hit me up with what you think!:)

xoxo Stay Bless,
Tatiana :)

Monday After Thanksgiving

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had the best Thanksgiving with loved ones. I went to my mother's parents home to have Thanksgiving dinner. My aunts, uncles, and cousins all came. My mother actually cooked all the food. I've never been a turkey eater, but the one we had was so good. It had a cajun flavor to it, and was far from dry. We also had greens, macaroni and cheese, ham, dressing/stuffing, gravy, and apply pie!:) Last year, I helped make vegan dishes, which everyone loved. Next year, I plan to do the same, except I might still need to have that juicy, cajun turkey!

Now to this outfit, this is one of my favorite dresses in my closet. I love how modest it is without making me look like an early 20th century mid-western woman. It has a solid color slip underneath and it hits right above my knees. I paired this dress with my always classy over the knee Joie Jemina boots, and my Aldo cross body bag.

I hope everyone has a great week, and remember to work hard, but don't forget to find time for enjoyment!;)

Casual Weather Sweater

Happy Thursday! I'm so excited that the weekend is almost here! Let's jump right into details of this outfit. I've always been obsessed with off the shoulder sweaters. I think they give just enough sexy while still being modest. I purchased my sweater from Nordstrom Rack and the brand is Melrose and Market. There were a variety of sizes in store, but I couldn't find the exact sweater online, so I linked some very similar styles. I paired my over the knee suede black boots with this outfit because I felt like it really complemented the earthly tone of the sweater. I purchased them at Francesca's at Haywood Mall. They are currently less than $60 compared to $88.

Today's daily verse is coming from Deuteronomy 6:5 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength"!:)

What I Did for My Birthday!?!

Happy Wednesday! Even though my birthday was November 9th (last week), I figured I would do a post and tell you all what I did for my birthday. I had been  planning for my birthday celebration for months. A group of friends and I were taking a cruise, having a dinner party, and then relaxing on some warm island. None of this happened. I had work overload and no time to take off or plan such an extravagant birthday celebration. But, this coming summer 2017, we are definitely going to have a blast.

On Sunday, I had an after church luncheon at Applebees (I wrote about what I ate here). My grandparents, aunts, uncles, my immediate family, and close friends Alexia and Whitney were able to attend. I figured since my birthday was in the middle of the week, most of my loved ones would be working rather too late to attend my birthday dinner.

On the day of my birthday, I took the day to relax. I slept in and had a spa day at home. Later that evening, I met with my family, Precious (sister), and Sterling (friend), to have dinner at Smoke on the Water. I ordered a portobello mushroom sandwich. It was good, but I felt like it was a little too much vinegar for my liking. I prefer The Trappe Door's portobello mushroom sandwiches more!

Smoke on the Water's lights were too dimmed to take a birthday photo :(

My family and friends got me to sweetest gifts. I haven't had a TV in my bedroom in a long time because the one I had in college broke, and I just never found a reason to replace it since I barely watch TV. Well, my parents and brother brought me a flat screen TV. I also received beautiful roses, a bracelet made by Nepali women (post coming soon), a very chic plaid scarf, large new coffee cup, beautiful jewelry, and money with cards!:)

Today's bible verse is coming from the book of James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of lights with who there is no variation or shadow due to change",

Free People Cream Off the Shoulder

Happy Tuesday beautiful children of God! Let's get straight to the post, I love this outfit so much! I had been in search of a cream off the shoulder sweater for quite some time now, but none of them fit me as cozy as this Free People off the shoulder one. I actually found it at Nordstrom Rack for less than $55. I decided to keep it casual since it is Tuesday. I paired it with my AE jeans (I have more than 1 pair), my quilted cross body bag, and my Aldo nude pumps. I did fancy-it-up by putting on my pearls!;) Since jeans aren't allowed to teach in (only special occasions), I wore my Old Navy black pixie pants with my black ballet flats. I wore my cargo vest on top to hide my bare shoulders!:)

Today's bible verse is coming from Proverbs 31:30
"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Stay true to who you are and never sacrifice who you are for anyone.
Stay true to our faithful God!:)

Peplum Blouse With Over the Knee Boots

Happy Monday! This was such a beautiful weekend (the rain was needed)! On Saturday, the weather was so beautiful and cool enough for apple cider in the park. Also, I finished up all my coursework for two of my grad school courses, so now all I have to prepare for are December exams, presentations, and portfolios!yayyy:)

Back to the post, I am so in love with this outfit! It's the perfect fall afternoon outfit and it makes me feel so girly chic.I couldn't find the exact link for this blouse because it sold out before I could link it, but it's by Eyeshadow and I purchased it at NordstromRack. To keep it simple, but not boring I paired this blouse with my AE jeans, my Joie boots, and my quilted crossbody bag.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and accomplish many great things! Remember to work hard, but don't forget to enjoy YOUR life because you only get one. We as people are supposed to work, but don't overindulge in gaining all the while forgetting to enjoy your blessings!:)

Today's bible verse is coming from Hebrew 13:5 "Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you":)

No Work Day Outfit: Also, Did You Vote?

Happy Election Day! I hope everyone is having a great day! I actually have the day off from teaching, so that makes today a great day to catch up on my graduates studies. Since I'm used to waking up up super early everyday, I voted this morning at 7:05AM:) I wasn't going to wait and end up dealing with long lines.

Have you voted? If not, remember that voting is very important. No matter how much you voice your opinions and post on social media about who you like and dislike; if you don't vote you won't be heard! Simple as that! Something to remember throughout the day in case you haven't voted: Think for yourself and vote based on your conscious. Turn off all the distractions and weigh the two!

Today's Bible Verse: Ecclesiastes 10:2
A wise man's heart inclines him to the right, but a fool's heart to the left!

Striped Mock Neck Dress

What a gorgeous day! I hope everyone is starting their week out great while getting many things accomplished. I can't believe it's in the 70s now that we are in November. I can't remember a time when it was this warm during my birthday month.

Now to is outfit! It's definitely a simple outfit, but it's so chic. I paired this mock neck dress with my Michael Kors D'orsay pumps, black quilted shoulder bag, and gold hoops. This dress hugs the curves nicely without being too clingy. It's not so tight that I feel uncomfortable to walk!

I had a pre-birthday luncheon at good ole Applebees with a few of my family and friends! I usually don't eat meat, but I couldn't resist ordering the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. The entree came with a cajun-seasoned chicken breast, seasoned shrimp, red potatoes sauteed with onions and mushrooms, and a side salad. The best part is that the server brought it out on a sizzling skillet!:)

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 6:10
"Finally, my brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might."
