Oily Acne-prone Sensitive Skin Care Regimen

Does your face oftentimes look like you've been stuffing your face with greasy chicken? Is your skin oftentimes sensitive after facial scrubs? Do some products cause you to breakout? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this post is for you.

I didn't realize how sensitive my skin was until I began breaking out at the age of 18. Since this was my freshmen year and I was dealing with so many new emotions, I didn't worry too much about my breakouts. Until...they covered my face like a nasty rash. I can remember purchasing so many products at the drugstore and department store, but they only made my skin more sensitive and the breakouts didn't stop. As the years flashed by, I found myself caking on make up. I hated the idea of having to put on so much make up to cover up my uncooperative skin. My money was going down the drain and I was feeling very self-conscious. I even had a church member invite me to a cosmetic/skin care party, but at the party I was totally ambushed. She had me remove all my make up in front of a room full of her friends. They each gave me their advice on how to better take care of my skin.

"Stop touching your face! Stop wearing make up. Drink more water. Stop this. Stop that". I was humiliated. I figured they meant well, but I was so embarrassed. And on top of that, they wouldn't give me any make up to put on besides some translucent powder to cover my oily skin. (Oh how the memories resurface.lol).

After that incident, I was on a mission to find a skin care regimen that would clear up my unruly skin. So, first thing first is Simple micellar cleansing water.

Makeup Remover
According to Simple Skincare website. Simple micellar cleansing water gently cleanses the skin while removing make-up dirt, and impurities while unclogging pores. It instantly boosts skin hydration by 90 percent. My skin feels clean after using this product to remove my make up, but I always like to clean my face two times when I wear make up.

Cleanser
This product is great for oily and dry skin. This is one of my favorite cleansers because it doesn't make your face feel stripped of its nutrients. It cleanses the skin without being too harsh. This product is very frothy, so you only need a pea amount on your face. *Received as a gift after making an Origins purchase.

Toner
This is the only toner I use. It's 100% natural and it leaves my face feeling so refreshed. Its far from harsh and gently cleanses my pores.

Serum
This is the first serum I've ever used. I think I got a little obsessed with the whole quarter-life crisis movement that Origins and a few other brands promote. This serum is supposed to restore the appearance of your youthful skin. I haven't been using it long enough to see a drastic change in my skin, but so far I do like it. I'll have to do a separate post on my opinion of this product later.

 Moisture
This is my absolute favorite moisture (besides Murad's). It has SPF 30 in it and it doesn't make make skin look extra shiny or irritated. The price for this product is continuously going up because it is a favorite of so many.

Eye Gel
I have really bad allergies, so my eyes are often time puffy and feel dry. This eye gel feels so refreshing. I use it at night and in the mornings. Its lightweight, so I put this on after I cleanse my face.
